Material and Inventory Management

1. Responsible for overall material planning and scheduling for MEP items to ensure minimum carrying cost / storage cost

2. Seek approval for changes if any proposed in materials, equipment to be used and prepare the required justification

Value Engineering and Cost Management

1. Responsible for creating and maintaining product and process standardization across the various MEP systems and installations used in all projects

2. Responsible for identifying cost saving measures (capital & operating) and improvising on the technical specifications that may be suggested by consultant.

3. Responsible for identifying areas for cost saving and value engineering measures/ areas in the designs (in-house and designs shared by consultants) and during execution

4. Monitoring MEP budgets through the project life cycle and ensure adherence to budget

5. Remaining abreast with the new technologies/products/materials etc.

Vendor Performance Evaluation

1. Participate in the vendor/contractor evaluation and finalization process

2. Provide inputs on technical parameters for vendor evaluation and assess performance of the vendor at the end of the project

Team Management

1. Effectively carry out performance appraisals, assess capability and training needs of the team

2. Guide, coach, mentor and motivate the team towards superior performance

3. Ensure the team members are well versed with the technical know/how related to installation, execution and maintenance of the various products/systems installed

Reports and MIS

1. Ensure maintenance of records with respect to drawings and associated revisions

2. Monthly Services Report for each project stating progress on work schedules and cost and reasons for variances
